FIC Bar Experience

I was supposed to post this a weekend ago, but I kind of lost some of the files and was able to retrieve them just now. Fortunately, before that dreadful Japanese restaurant experience last week, there was the satisfying FIC Bar experience.

This is not the first time we've patronized FIC (Fruits in Ice Cream). I vividly remember, I introduced the Sugarfree Berry Ice cream to my boyfriend on October of 2005; and he immediately fell in love with it. It became a staple aside from Arce Dairy and BTIC.

But since this FIC bar just opened recently, the first time we discovered this bar was on a most recent Thursday night, a planned double date with his equally brilliant photographer-friend Gigi, and my dear college friend Tracy. At that time, Mitch and I already had dinner, so we just had to settle ourselves with the Sugarfree Rootbeer float while Tracy and Gigi got the Grasshopper parfait. Damn.

Feeling undefeated, my boyfriend and I decided to visit FIC bar again last Saturday. It is just a quick walk across the street from Powerplant mall, if you're coming out of the Starbucks-Cibo entrance. That evening, the FIC bar facade was very welcoming with its chic lights and beautiful people enjoying the company of each other. All of the tables were already filled up, that's why Mitch and I had to settle with the cute transparent high chairs near the windows, which are equally comfortable.

Needless to say, you will have optional paralysis if you're an ice cream lover. There are so many different concoctions and freedom to make your own customizations. Mitch ordered for the ice cream with suman, and changed the normal ice cream to Sugarfree Mangoes and Cream. whereas I had the Yogurt with bananas and chocolate syrup. While waiting for the desserts, we kind appreciated the coziness of the place. It's a perfect after dinner or after movie recluse. Everything in it is clean, modern and chic. The desserts were pretty much okay. It's a reasonable price for your hard earned money, 150 to as much as 400 are your expected price range, more expensive for sugarfree desserts. They also serve pastas sandwiches and other knicknacks aside from their numerous ice cream dishes.

Another reliable place for a nice talk and a nice ice cream treat without the added fuzz and traditional limitations.
